Strawberries Just For You Card

I'm continuing to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) cards from the SU! 2021 - 2022 annual catalogue.  This time I've CASED a card from page 148 of the catalogue.  I loved the soft colours, the stamping on the patterned paper and the cluster of images.  Here's my card and envelope.

Here's the card.  I've used cheery gingham paper again - this time So Saffron from the retired Subtles 6" x 6" DSP pack.  I stamped the images on the patterned paper and stamped the leaves on Soft Sea Foam CS using Pear Pizzazz ink.  I stamped the strawberries on Blushing Bride CS using Real Red ink and I stamped the flowers on Basic White CS using Pool Party ink.  I stamped the Real Red sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White CS and used the 'Tailored Tag' punch to cut a flagged banner end.  I arranged the cluster, popping everything up on Dimensionals.  I used a die from the old, retired SU! 'Trim Your Stocking' die set to cut several So Saffron CS dots as centres for the flowers.

Here's the inside of the card.  I stamped the sentiment to the left of the die cut label and popped the strawberry up over the top.

Here's the envelope.  I just love that fancy circle shape from one of the dies in the 'Tasteful Labels' set, it's so pretty!

Poppy Trio Birthday Card

Today I'm sharing a poppies card I've CASEd from page 25 of the SU! 2021 -2022 annual catalogue.  I've never been a fan of the colour orange but I do quite like Mango Melody and that's what I went for on my version of the card.  Here's my card and envelope.

Here's my card.  I've used some Mango Melody gingham patterned paper from a retired pack of Brights DSP for my strip down the side of the card and I edged that with a narrow strip of Basic Black CS.  I embossed the Basic White panel with the 'Brick & Mortar' 3D embossing folder and glued that in place.  To colour in the poppy flowers and leaves I used Light Soft Sea Foam, Dark Mint Macaron, Light Petal Pink, Dark Flirty Flamingo, Light So Saffron and Dark Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.  I really tried to leave some white space as I like that look.  The flowers and sentiment panel are popped up on Dimensionals.

Here's the inside of the card with more gingham and a sentiment label.

More gingham paper went on the front of the envelope.  I love gingham, I think it's so cheery!

Rose Best Wishes Card

I'm continuing to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) cards from the Stampin' Up! 2021 - 2022 annual catalogue.  I'm spending time in my craft room and I'm creating without having to think too much and that is absolutely perfect for me right now!  This time I've CASED a card from page 196 that features the amazing 'Expressions in Ink' suite of products.  Here's my card and envelope.

Here's my card.  To be honest I've copied the SU! card so there really isn't much 'selective editing' going on here!   My card base  measures 4" square and I've used Pale Papaya CS.  I stamped a piece of Pale Papaya CS using the 3 flower image from the 'Artistically Inked' stamp set and cut the piece into three strips which I glued to the card front.  I stamped the sentiment in full strength Just Jade ink on a stitched square die cut and added the gold foil element from the 'Ephemera Pack'.  I stamped the flower and leaves using full strength Polished Pink and stamped off once Just Jade inks, die cut the images and then popped the square and flower up on Dimensionals.  I added three of the pretty iridescent sequins from the 'Ephemera Pack' to finish the card front.

Naturally, I had to stamp something inside!  I stamped the three flower image a couple of times in Polished Pink ink.

I couldn't resist putting a pretty rose and leaves on the envelope flap!

Supplies:
Stamps: SU! 'Artistically Inked' set
CS: SU! Pale Papaya & Basic White
Ink: SU! Just Jade, Pale Papaya & Polished Pink
Tools: SU! 'Artistic' & 'Stitched Shapes' die sets

Tropical Flower Duo Birthday Card

My creative mojo is definitely lacking at the moment so I turned to the SU! 2021 - 2022 annual catalogue for inspiration. A card on page 21 caught my eye and it appealed mainly because it has pretty colours but also due to the simple layout which means quick and easy to make!  I find it so helpful to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) a card when my mojo is missing and it was great to spend some crafty time in my stamp room!  Here's my card and envelope together.

Here's my card.  I've changed a few small details to make the design my own.  The card base is made with Pear Pizzazz CS  and I used paper from the 'Tropical Oasis' DSP pack for the Pool Party strip across the card.  I stamped the flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink onto Basic White CS and then swirled on Flirty Flamingo ink with a blender brush.  I stamped the leaves in Old Olive ink on Pear Pizzazz CS and I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink on Flirty Flamingo CS.  The flower leaves and sentiment banner are all popped up.  I added a gold metallic pearl to each flower centre to finish the front.

Here's the inside of the card.

Here's the envelope.

Supplies:
Stamps: SU! 'Timeless Tropical' set
CS: SU! Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzazz & Basic White

Hydrangea Z Fold Card

Life has been getting in the way of my crafting recently and I'm missing my times spent in my stamp room.  More regular creating will follow shortly though! 🤞

Today I'm sharing a Z Fold card I've made for a special friend using products from the beautiful SU! Hydrangea Hill suite of products.  I've used Rococo Rose, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and white as my colour combo.  Here's the card and envelope together.

I stamped the hydrangea flower head in stamped off once Rococo Rose ink and then added more ink around the image using a sponge dauber.  I did the same with the leaves but with Pear Pizzazz ink.  The hydrangea flower and sentiment label are popped up on Dimensionals.  I added three tiny hydrangea die cuts with rhinestone centres to finish the front.

Here's the card fully opened.  The panel on the inside is lined up exactly with the panel on the front so that it's not visible when the card is closed.  I chose to use the 'with love' sentiment on the inside so it seemed appropriate to decorate with some hearts!  I used a fab die from the retired SU! 'Mini Treat Bag' die set that cuts several hearts at once.

Here's the inside of the card.

Here's the envelope.  I tried using a die from the SU! 'Basic Borders' set to add a decorative edge to the  envelope flap.  It's a tad tricky to fit everything on the platform and roll through to cut without mangling the envelope.  I did pretty well, just a tiny smoosh of damage which is barely noticeable!

Supplies:
Stamps: SU! 'Hydrangea Haven' set
CS: SU! Pear Pizzazz, Rococo Rose & Basic White
Patterned paper: SU! 'Hydrangea Hill' DSP pack
Ink: SU! Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz & Rococo Rose, Memento Tuxedo Black
Tools: SU! 'Hydrangea', 'Stitched Rectangles'. 'Tasteful Labels', 'Basic Borders' & 'Mini Treat Bag' die sets
Embellishments & Accessories: SU! Rhinestone Jewels, Dimensionals

Strawberries Thank You Book Binding Fold Card

Dena Rekow at the Creativity Cave shared a card on her blog with a book binding fun fold which was a bit different and I thought I'd have a go at making one.  I've used the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and matching punch and some of the paper from the 'Berry Delightful' DSP pack for my card.  Here's my card and envelope together.

The card base is made with Poppy Parade CS and I scored a line 1 1/4" from the fold and glued that section down.  I adhered a strip of patterned paper and added a white baker's twine bow.  I then got busy stamping, punching and colouring.  I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green ink, stamped the leafy sprays in Garden Green ink and used Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to colour in the leaves.  I stamped the flowers in Garden Green ink and used Light Daffodil Delight and Dark Mango Melody Stampin' Blends to add colour to the flower centres.   I stamped the outline strawberries in full strength Poppy Parade ink but used stamped off once Poppy Parade ink for the solid strawberry images.  I stamped the top of the strawberries in Garden Green ink for the outline and filled in with Granny Apple Green ink.  I fussy cut the tops of the strawberries after I'd punched them out - just the bottom bits - because I didn't like the white showing when I layered the stalks onto the berries.  The strawberries and flowers are all popped up on Dimensionals.  I finished off by adding three Garden Green Glitter Enamel Dots.

Here's a view from the top of the card open showing the glued down section.  Just a different way to make a card that's a fun touch.

Here's the inside of the card.

Here's the enveloe.

Stamps: SU! 'Sweet Strawberry' set

Jade & Pink Rose Hello Card

The SU! catalogue has a lovely hello card on the front using products from the 'Expressions in Ink' suite of products. I wanted to make a version of the card using a different patterned paper and I chose the gorgeous Just Jade and Shaded Spruce coloured paper for my card.  Here's my card and envelope together.

Here's the card.  I die cut the leaf shape from Thick Basic White CS and applied Just Jade and Shaded Spruce inks with a blending brush.  To make the leaves stand out better against the patterned paper I tore some vellum and adhered that over the patterned paper.  I stamped the rose in Polished Pink ink and stamped the leaves and sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink.  I cut out the hello with a die from the 'Tasteful Labels' set and cut a strip of Polished Pink CS to go behind the banner.  I haven't got the Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack but I do have the 'Forever Gold' Laser-cut Specialty Paper and I took a small leafy sprig from there to tuck behind the sentiment.  The sentiment and rose are popped up on Dimensionals.  To add another touch of gold I sprinkled on three Gilded Gems.

For the inside of the card I die cut another leaf shape, applied Just Jade and Shaded Spruce inks with a blending brush and adhered the shape in place.

To decorate the envelope flap I die cut a leaf shape from Thick Basic White CS to use as a stencil.  I dabbed the shape with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue using a sponge and I let that dry.  If you let the Tombow glue dry it becomes repositionable.  I placed the shape on the envelope flap, applied Just Jade ink with a blending brush and then removed the die cut shape.  Such a soft, pretty effect!
