I decided to make a pop up card while I still had Jan's Season of Joy stamp set on loan. I kept the front of the card quite simple - which makes the pop up surprise when the recipient opens the card better I think!
The card measures just a tad under 5" square and I made the card base with SU! Certainly Celery CS. I used Nesties for the square layers. The white square was embossed with my Crafts Too snowflakes embossing folder. The 3 flowers are trimmed and popped up and I added a gold sequin to each flower centre.
Inside the card, three trees pop up. I love the swirl on the tree in this set and that reminded me to use my long neglected Sizzix Swirly die. I used both the positive and negative shapes of the die cut. I added a sentiment and punched snowflakes to finish. These pop up cards are a lot of fun - and the Sizzix Pop Ups die makes them quick and easy to put together too!
Supplies:
Stamps: SU! Season of Joy set
CS: SU! Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Old Olive & Real Red
Ink: SU! Real Red & Old Olive
Tools: Plain & scalloped square Nestie dies, Sizzix Bigz Pop Ups die, Sizzix Decorative Strip Swirly die, Crafts Too snowflakes embossing folder, SU! plain and scalloped oval punches, Woodware snowflake punch
Embellishments & accessories: Gold sequins, 3d foam pads
great as always, I love the idea of a pink christmastree ;)
