What a week that was, I'm so glad it's over. After a tough, stressful time some soothing crafting was called for. This week's Less Is More challenge is a shades of blue colour challenge - I thought that fit the bill perfectly! I got to use my brand new and utterly gorgeous Hero Arts Three Ferns stamp, the postie only delivered it this morning. I inked it completely with Tumbled Glass ink and then added two more colours to the stamp (Broken China and Night of Navy) using sponge daubers. I then misted the stamp with water and stamped onto watercolour paper. Oooooh, I love how that turned out! I added the sentiment and then spritzed the square with silver Glimmer Mist.
I punched the corners of the watercolour paper with the SU! Ticket Corner punch, matted it onto a larger square of Broken China CS and added pale blue gems at the corners. I then mounted the image panel to a Night of Navy gatefold card I made from a piece of CS measuring 24 x 12cms that I scored at 6 and 18cms. I haven't made a gatefold card in ages and it was nice to do something different.
I then stamped the ferns again on the envelope flap and on another watercolour paper panel for inside the card. I will use this as a BRAK card so I stamped a birthday sentiment to finish off. That was a lovely challenge from the Less Is More girls and just what I needed, some restorative stamping! Plus it's a birthday card added to the stash - a total win win! Now it's time to put the kettle on for a cuppa and go to check out the other entries.
