Here's what I came up with - a 'Just because' card and a set of matching note cards and envelopes. After I'd finished the card and envelope and I was taking the photos, seeing the card inside and envelope together made me want to make the note cards as well!
I thought the SU! Flowering Flourishes set would be perfect to use for this challenge so I got out the stamps and then chose my greens - Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green. What, no Old Olive?! Olive is my 'go to' green for definite but I really liked this mix of greens together so, for once, I left Old Olive out! I've used Naturals White CS for my neutral panel and I stamped this with the image in VersaMark and then heat embossed with Wild Wasabi embossing powder. I matted and layered, added the ribbon and added a double row of die cut scallop edges. I made a Certainly Celery 5 3/4" square card base, chopped a bit off the right hand side and replaced it with a Wild Wasabi CS strip that I'd stamped with flourishes using Garden Green ink. I added a narrow strip of Garden Green CS against the join. I stamped the 'Just because' in Garden Green ink on Certainly Celery CS, punched it out with an oval punch and popped it up.
I then had fun making my flowers! I used the Boho Blossoms punch to cut out my flower shapes, I snipped between the petals of each flower and used a large ball embossing stylus and a moulding mat to add some shaping and dimension. I glued the flowers to the flourish image and added rhinestone jewel centres to finish the front.
I cut a Naturals White CS panel for inside the card and stamped flourish corners with Garden Green ink. I stamped the same flourish all over the cream envelope flap. I really liked how the inside and envelope looked together and it just made me think of stationery. So I then had to make some matching note cards and envelopes to go with the card!
I used an empty SU! clear mount stamp set case as the packaging for the note cards. I cut a piece of Wild Wasabi CS to fit in the front sleeve and stamped the flourishes using Garden Green ink. I then used the Broadsheet Alphabet set to stamp 'Note Cards' onto Naturals White CS and I cut it out with a Label Framelits die. I added a stamped piece of Certainly Celery CS to the bottom of the label and drew a line with a Garden Green marker. I taped a length of Wild Wasabi stitched ribbon around the spine of the case and added a bow to dress the spine up a bit.
I stamped 6 one sided note cards and envelopes - yeah, that patterned envelope flap seemed a great idea at the beginning! I cut Naturals White CS into A6 pieces for the note cards. I stamped just a portion of the image at opposite corners, making sure I didn't take up too much space with the stamping, I wanted to leave enough space for writing!
Here's the case open with the note cards and envelopes tied up with Wild Wasabi ribbon. You could go further and add some postage stamps and a pen inside to make the gift more thoughtful. I may do that later on, we'll see!
