As I'll be making cards for the Cute and Fun weeks as well as the Classic and Elegant weeks at House of Cards I've already created a card using these colours. Click here if you'd like to see my Cute and Fun card. It was such an enjoyable experience to create two different style cards using the same colour inspiration starting point! I can highly recommend it and with the way our challenges work at House of Cards you can easily try it for yourself!
The SU! Everything Eleanor stamp set is certainly classic and elegant in my eyes and I thought it was a great choice - you can't go wrong with flowers and swirls! I started off by stamping the Pool Party label shape onto the white panel. I then stamped a mask on paper, cut it out, adhered it over the top with repositionable tape and stamped the Cherry Cobbler swirls. I layered the white panel onto Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party mats. I stamped several flowers in Cherry Cobbler ink onto white CS and used Cherry Cobbler ink and a blender pen to add colour to the flowers. I added some Pool Party ink to the centre of each flower and fussy cut them. I stamped the sentiment and popped the flowers up on the label. I adhered a strip of Cherry Cobbler ribbon to the panel, added Pool Party ribbon tied in a knot over the top and popped up two more flowers. I glued the whole panel to a 5 3/4" square Riding Hood Red card base and added rhinestone jewels to the label to complete the card front.
I stamped the label, sentiment and partial swirls on a white panel for inside. For the envelope I stamped the flower in Cherry Cobbler ink onto Pool Party CS, fussy cut it and popped it up onto the punched circles.
