I've gone bold and bright with my card! I adore the new SU! Bermuda Bay colour and Rose Red has always been a firm favourite of mine and when I paired them up I loved the two colours together! I layered a piece of Pool Party patterned paper onto a Rose Red mat for my wonky panel. For the main panel I layered a Whisper White panel onto a Basic Gray mat and added a strip of lush velvet ribbon. I popped up a stamped and die cut ornament and used some silver pearls as a hanger. Jewels and two punched photo corners completed the card front.
For the inside I stamped the sentiment first and stamped the ornament underneath and used a Basic Gray marker to draw dots for an ornament hanger. I glued a stamped and die cut ornament on the envelope flap to finish.
I hope you'll join us at 52 {C}CT this week, it's really time you got cracking on those Christmas cards now we've passed the halfway through the year point, come November you'll be glad you added to your stash back in the summer!

ReplyDeleteThese are great colours Ruth and for a Xmas card they are really fab-love the gems on the bauble. I did miserably with my effort to do Xmas cards-still life gets in the way sometimes!

ReplyDeleteI love the fun colors, the plush ribbon, and that you called it a "wonky" panel! :D I also really like how on the inside, you've made the ornament look like it's dangling from the sentiment. Excellent job all around, Ruth! :)
