I started off by cutting a square of Very Vanilla CS and I used my SU! Simply Scored and Diagonal Plate to score at half inch intervals to create the embossed lattice background. I could have done a grid but I fancied a diagonal lattice! I then lightly brayered Old Olive ink over the lattice and sponged the edges. I stamped three butterflies and brushed a blender pen over each image to pull out some of the ink to add a touch of colour. I die cut the butterflies, sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink and adhered them to the lattice panel. I've glued the bodies flat but popped up the wings. I stamped and die cut the sentiment label, sponged the edges with Old Olive ink, popped it up and added the three candy dots. I then layered onto Primrose Petals and Old Olive mats and applied the layers to a Raspberry Ripple 5 1/4" square card.
I used markers to stamp a sentiment inside, sponged the edges of the panel and added a stamped and die cut butterfly. A simple stamped butterfly on the envelope flap finished the whole thing off. So I've tried out for Mynnette's Inkspirational DT, I just hope I get chosen to be on the team, fingers crossed!
