Wonderful Day Tree for SSHP02 Dress Up Those Trees Challenge

This card was made for the Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential SSHP02 Dress Up Those Trees challenge - the link will open in a new window. I saw the challenge after looking at Dawn's blog and seeing her fabulous card and I thought that was a perfect chance to play with my Penny Black 'Splendor' tree stamp.

Olive, berry and pink is one of my favourite colour combos but I haven't used it in a while. I use mainly SU! CS these days but I decided to use some of my neglected Bazzill stash for this card - CS, brads and ribbon. The textured Swiss Dotted CS is fab.

Square Nesties were used for the layers. The whole tree panel is popped up. The dotty scalloped strips were made using the Sizzix Scallops Decorative Strips die. Gorgeous, tiny, twinkly Hero Arts pink flower gems are what I dressed my tree up with. I love the different fonts on the sentiment - this is an individual Hero Arts clear stamp.

And here is a close up pic of the tree showing the flower gems:

I really enjoyed this challenge and am looking forward to checking out the other entries!

Supplies:
Stamps: Penny Black 'Splendor', sentiment Hero Arts clear stamp
