I have a plastic box in my craft room that I toss unfinished, left over and other miscellaneous bits into - like when I change my mind mid card and use something else instead. The trouble is, I toss stuff in but don't take stuff out and use it so the box got full and I couldn't fit any more in! I sorted it all out and made a card using patterned paper hearts which were left over from one of my card group kits. I absolutely loved this My Mind's Eye patterned paper, it was so pretty and a gorgeous colour and I'm very sad that I now don't have any of it left - yep, I actually used every last little piece of it that I had!
I sponged the edges of the hearts with Broken China ink and made a flower by gluing the bottom of each heart onto a punched circle shape. I popped up one side of each heart petal and I added a punched flower and pretty turquoise button to the centre. I die cut a few ferns, cut them apart, arranged them on a Blushing Bride square, added the flower and layered the pink square onto a Broken China mat. I added a sentiment banner strip and a punched flower and then added the card front to a cream 5 1/4" square card base.
Here's the inside and the envelope. I made the flowers by stamping the French Script background onto Blushing Bride CS, punching large flowers using the Fancy Flower punch and smaller flowers with the Boho Blossoms punch. I'd like to make a "bits from the box" card at least once a week from now on - hmmmm, we'll see how that goes!
