Glitter Pot 'Black, White & Add a Bright' and 'Krafty Cards' Class Cards

Yesterday I ran two classes at my local craft shop, the Glitter Pot.  I was excited and a tad apprehensive all at the same time!  The apprehension soon disappeared as the ladies were such a wonderful bunch.  They were very kind and said lovely things, bless them!  I really enjoyed our day together!

The morning class was 'Black White and Add a Bright'.  Here's the black, white and red landscape oriented A6 sized easel card I designed. The image was heat embossed and the poppies coloured in with a 'Ruby' ProMarker.

The second card was this black, white and bright pink 5 3/4" square Z fold card. The image was stamped twice - once in VersaMark on black card and heat embossed with white embossing powder and stamped a second time in black ink on pink CS.  Circle dies were used to cut the pink and black spotlight circle and that was popped up.  The sentiment was also heat embossed with white powder and punched daisies added more pops of pink.   Elegant flourishes were stamped on the inside and the strip of black CS added a truly finished look.

The class in the afternoon was 'Krafty Cards' using kraft and white plus dark brown.

This first card is 5 3/4" square and features white heat embossings on kraft CS - I love how that looks!  A pretty, feminine design featuring patterned paper, ribbon and gems.

A kraft, white and dark brown colour combo lends itself to masculine design cards and so I included this card suitable for a male.  The positive die cut tree shapes are nested in the solid negative die cut shape and you can see through the trees to the panel of dotty paper on the inside of the card.

I had both positive and negative die cut tree pieces left over from the previous card and it would have been such a shame to waste them so I made an extra card using the left over pieces!  The kraft positive tree shapes were inset into the brown negative shape, embossed with a woodgrain folder and then Walnut Stain ink was addded to the kraft trees.  A simple offset layout, a stamped sentiment, three punched 1/4" circles and the card was done.     

These cards will be on display at the Glitter Pot - I'll get a kick out of seeing my designs displayed when I visit the shop!  That's me done for January but I'll be running more classes at the Glitter Pot in February.  I'm looking forward to it muchly!
