Blue Butterfly Best Wishes Card

Recently I saw these lovely cards made by Barb Mullikin using the SU! 'A Touch of Ink' Sale-A-Bration set.  I decided to make my version of a blue butterfly card.

Here's the card and envelope together.

I used Seaside Spray CS for the card base and I embossed a panel of the same CS using the 'Old World Paper' 3D embossing folder. Wow, that folder gives a LOT of texture!  I got the navy plaid paper from the stack of 6" x 6" paper that came with the SU! mini paper trimmer.  I stamped the butterfly outline in Night of Navy ink and used stamped off once Seaside Spray ink for the solid fill.  The stamp set comes with a dotty image and I stamped that a few times on the butterfly in full strength Seaside Spray ink.  I love the beautiful font of the sentiment!  I added some Seaside Spray shimmer ribbon and popped up the 'Stitched So Sweetly' die cut rectangle.  As a finishing touch I spritzed Night of Navy ink over the rectangle from a marker.

Floral Cake Birthday Card

The SU! 'Happy Birthday to You' stamp set was one of the offerings during Sale-A-Bration in 2020.  It's time for the 2021 Sale-A-Bration now so I thought it was high time I inked up the lovely cake stamp!  Here's the card and envelope together.

The card measures 5 3/4" square and my colour combo is Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride, Basic Gray, Granny Apple Green and Whisper White.  I embossed the Blushing Bride square with the utterly gorgeous 'Parisian Flourish' embossing folder.  I used Stampin' Blends to colour the cake and cake stand.  I stamped two images and die cut the entire cake image plus just the flowers and leaves and I popped up the flowers and leaves portion.  I attached a strip of Granny Apple Green gingham paper and popped up the cake.  I tucked a die cut sentiment banner behind the cake.  I added three glitter enamel dots to the banner to complete the card front.

Here's the inside of the card.  I fussy cut a stamped and coloured flower and glued that over the gingham paper strip.

Here's the front of the envelope with a popped up die cut name label.  I only needed a small name label as this card has been sent to my friend Bev!
