Field Flowers With Love Card - Inkspirational Challenge # 6

It's time for the February colour challenge at Inkspirational this week.  The colours are kraft, plum and semi navy.  I don't think I would have put these colours together myself but I really like this combo now that I've tried it!

I've used the SU! Field Flowers set for my card - I find two step stamping flower sets too appealing to resist and this set is beautiful!  I used SU! Not Quite Navy CS to make the A6 sized card base.  I stamped the stem and small flower direct to the white rounded tag shape but stamped the large flowers separately, fussy cut them and popped them up.  I used Perfect Plum ink stamped off once first for the solid images and then full strength for the outline images.  I wrapped Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon around a strip of Perfect Plum CS and adhered that above the patterned paper.  I added a Not Quite Navy punched border to the bottom of the Crumb Cake tag mat and popped the whole panel up.  I placed three pearls at the top right of the card to finish off the front.

Our friends Jan and Alan were facing an anxious time with Alan having to go to hospital for an operation.  I wanted to wish Alan all the best for the operation but I also know what it's like to be the wife at home fretting while hubby is in hospital.  So this card went to Jan and Alan to let them know we were thinking of them both.  This sentiment seemed the perfect choice.  I stamped part of the stem, the small flower and popped up the large flower.

For the front of the envelope I coloured the stem with a Crumb Cake marker so I could omit part of the image and added a popped up large flower.

I really hope you'll join in with this Inkspirational colour challenge, it's a really great combo.  I can't wait to pop by your blogs to see what you create!  There's bound to be fab inspiration on offer from the rest of the DT so please make sure to check out their designs!
