This is the last card I made on World Card Making Day. A few of my favourite things on this card - Eggplant CS, Go Kreate Frame die shape, the PSX Christmas Village stamp and lots of sparkle! I'm not a purple lover at all but I adore Elegant Eggplant and I've wanted to team it up with silver for a long time. I'm really chuffed at how this card turned out - simple yet elegant!
The card measures 6" wide by 5 3/4" tall. I stamped the village in Eggplant on white CS and then used Stamp 'n Bond powder to apply crystal ultrafine glitter over the whole image. I die cut the shape and I've added silver Dew Drops. The sentiment is heat embossed with silver embossing powder and sparkly silver ribbon was added to finish. I'll be making a few of this design to add to my Christmas card stash.

Here's another card I made on World Card Making Day - with my new favourite stamps, the SU! Petal Pizzazz set. I do love this set! This card was made for Joanne's Stampers 10 Challenge, this time she gave us So Saffron, Elegant Eggplant and Ballet Blue CS, a piece of Tea Party patterned paper, the stamped Thanks So Much scallop on the Saffron square and the Saffron ribbon. I opted not to use the Ballet Blue CS.
I would not have put Eggplant and Saffron together myself, but when I saw the stamped element in those colours I really liked it, I think it's quite a dramatic contrast and makes for a very striking combo.
This card is not an exact square, it measures 6" tall x 5 3/4" wide. I stamped the flowers in Saffron and Eggplant and the leaves and stem in Artichoke and have mounted them on top of the patterned paper piece. I trimmed the flowers and have popped them up. A gem brad is in the centre. After trimming the leaves I glued the bottom of the leaves flat but I've popped up the tips with small 3d foam pads.
The Eggplant scalloped element is a Sizzix die cut. I used the SU! Ticket Corner punch on the patterned paper and have put crystals in the corners. I added Eggplant ribbon on top of the Saffron, tied a knot and I've popped up the thanks square over the top. To finish off, I added a cute flower button from the SU! Latte Designer Buttons collection with a thin strip of Eggplant CS threaded through. Supplies:

Monday's mean the CAS challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. Today was an inspiration challenge, we were to use these pillows as our inspiration choices. I chose the Blue Floral Embroidered Pillows as my inspiration piece - these links will open in new pages.
This was a double challenge for me - the other challenge being to use a colour I don't really like - SU! Ballet Blue - but I think it turned out OK with the chocolate, I'm still not really sold on it though!
The card measures just a tad under 5" square. All stamping was done in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate ink which gives a subtle pearly shimmer. The flower is from my new fave SU! Petal Pizzazz set. I wanted to mimic the flower in the centre of the top pillow so I used punched Choc Chip 3/4" circles to form the scallop shape. The flower piece is popped up and I added a Candy Dot to the flower centre. The sentiment piece was made using Spellbinders Label Trio dies. I finished off by adding 2 rows of piercing using my Tim Holtz ruler.

Another card I made on World Card Making Day, using my new SU! Petal Pizzazz stamp set. I loved this set as soon as I saw it in the mini catty but have only just bought it. I thought I'd better grab it in case it didn't make it into the main catty - and I'm glad I did as it didn't make it in! I'm so pleased I got it, I love this set! I used it to make another card yesterday too.
This card will go to our friend Gill for her birthday later this month. The card measures 5 3/4" square. I used SU! Pretty in Pink for the card base and then layered Old Olive CS and Rose Red Prints paper. Nestability Labels One dies were used for the image layer and mat.
The flowers were stamped in Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Rose Red and then punched out with the SU! Scallop Circle punch. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive, trimmed and then I curled them a bit with my bone folder. The flowers are popped up with 3d foam pads and I added half pearls as centres. I added pearls to the four corners too. I rounded the right hand corners only. The sentiment is from the SU! Ovals All set and I used the matching oval punches. The main image panel and the sentiment are popped up.

I had a lovely World Card Making day in my craft room making cards. My sweet hubby Owen kept me supplied with drinks, made my lunch - and even ironed the ribbon for this card!
I've not taken part in Dawn's colour challenges before but I decided to try this particular challenge today. I always like seeing kraft CS used on cards but I don't use it myself enough. At first I thought this challenge would be a real toughie as I wouldn't have put these colours together myself but this card came together quite painlessly, I'm so glad I decided to take part!
The hearts are popped up with 3d foam tape. I added a red heart brad to the aqua heart. The scalloped border was made using the Sizzix Lace Edging die. The wide aqua ribbon came from a mixed pack of Anna Griffin stitched grosgrain which was a gift from my good friend Kevin. The 3 dots are Pebbles Inc. self adhesive Candy Dots.
I gave this card to Owen to say thank you for his constant encouragement and support, just to let him know his care is much appreciated! Well, not every hubby would iron ribbon would they?!

And these snowflakes are super sparkly! I've finally got round to using VersaMark ink with Stamp & Bond powder for applying glitter to stamped images. I patted my VersaMark pad all over the images, applied the Stamp & Bond powder and heated it. Then I sprinkled on Crystal ultrafine glitter and heated the images again to set the glitter - fab!
The first card is a stepped up version of a card we made at card group this month. To step it up, I've glittered the snowflake circle, added iridescent blue Swarovski crystals to the punched snowflakes, added a snowflake charm to the ribbon and rounded all the corners.
This second card was inspired by a stunningly gorgeous card Joanne made at a class at the Glitter Pot. I saw the card when I was at her house for the Stampers Ten Make & Take evening, absolutely loved it and decided to CASE it.
The border on the left is made with 2 sizes of punched snowflakes. I've glued the larger ones flat to the card but the smaller ones are popped up with 3d foam pads. Circle and Labels Three Nesties were used for the image and mats. I've added silver Dew Drops to the Labels Three shape. The sentiment was stamped in Brilliance Moonlight White ink - next time I plan to heat emboss with white embossing powder to make the sentiment pop more. The sparkly snowflakes circle is popped up with 3d foam tape.

These are the Christmas cards we will be making at my October card group meeting. Hmmm, you can tell I love snowflakes!
First up is a bookmark card - this is based on a card Joanne made at the August Stamper's Ten meeting. I was away so I couldn't make it there but I've made my own version - I couldn't use the same stamps as Joanne as I don't have the SU! set she used. My favourite My Cute Stamps clear 'Let it Snow!' set was used on this card, I adore the snowflakes in that set!
The card is a regular A6 size but 5 cms is trimmed off the front and then the back is perforated at 5 cms to form the tear off bookmark. I used a Fiskars Rotary Trimmer and a perforating blade. On the bookmark piece the snowflakes were stamped in VersaMark and then embossed with clear embossing powder. The bookmark topper was made using circle Nesties and the Crop-A-Dile easily punched the ribbon hole through the layers of CS. I've since added crystals to the snowflake centres and to the corners of the red square. This card will be sent to my friend Bev.

Next up is a snowflakes window card. A circle Nestie was used to cut the window out of the front of the square card and for the blue circle inside the card. This card uses my newest snowflakes stamp - it's the Hero Arts Snowflakes Circle cling stamp - I LOVE it! The Bashful Blue snowflakes are punched and the Let it Snow is a Sizzix Sizzlits die cut.
Lastly is a clean and simple card with a tree shape made out of circles stamped with - surprise, surprise - snowflakes! I've CASEd a fab card I saw on Splitcoast Stampers made by Kristin Moore. Please click here to see her card - the page will open in a new window. I thought it would be a great card to mass produce for Christmas.
I've used a Nestability Labels Eight die for the patterned paper piece. I stamped all 6 stamps from the SU! Snow Flurries set in Always Artichoke ink and then punched the images out using the 3/4" circle punch. The star is popped up with a 3d foam pad.
