Blue Brayered Best Wishes Easel Card

This is the second card we made at Joanne's Make and Take evening. What a lovely card design!

First off we drew our birds - well, I'm never confident when it comes to freehand drawing so I got Debbie to draw mine, bless her! I went to the Glitter Pot on Thursday and found a stamp with some birds on so I can stamp them in future! We got busy with a brayer and Brocade Blue ink to make the background. We punched a circle out of a Post It note to make the moon mask. For the hills we used torn Post It notes as a mask, moving the mask and altering its position as we went. You have to make sure you cover any gaps so you don't brayer darker ink over your lighter areas!

Then we used the Pocket Silhouettes set and Night of Navy ink to stamp the foliage, stamping off once with the dotty stamp but stamping full strength with the leafy stamp. We then stamped the border at the bottom of the card, added the Navy strip and stamped and punched the sentiment oval. The oval is popped up. The finished card size is 4" square.
