Tag Buffet Christmas Tags

I took a couple of Stampin' Up! kits with me when I went to stay at a friend's house as I thought they'd be great to work on away from home.  I've had the Tag Buffet kit for almost a year, I never got round to it last year!

The Tag Buffet kit comes in such an attractive box...

...it's even patterned on the inside!

The kit makes 30 tags, 5 each of 6 designs.

Here's the stack of stocking tags.

Here's the stack of greenery tags.

Here's the stack of bauble tags.

Here's the stack of bird tags.

Here's the stack of tree tags.

Here's the stack of gifts tags.

The kit came with all the consumable elements needed to create the tags, I just added the co-ordinating  'Tag Buffet' stamp set and some ink pads.  I really enjoyed assembling these tags and I love that I can use them as gift tags or maybe as elements to go on a card front!

Merry And Bright Christmas Card

It's great to be back blogging again after a long period of no internet.  Wow, I missed not being online and I now realise how much I rely on streaming services, I can't wait to get back to BBC iPlayer, Amazon and Netflix!

A while ago I went to stay at a friend's house to look after her gorgeous cat Percy while she went away for a few days.  I took a pile of crafting supplies with me and had my very own crafting retreat - it was amazing!

This is one of the cards I made while I was away using the SU! 'Peace & Joy' stamp set and matching die set.  I love the style of the stamps and the stacked die cut sentiments - really fun!

The card base is Pool Party and the mat layer is Poppy Parade.  I used various colours of ink to stamp the foliage and berries.  I stamped the sentiment words in Poppy Parade ink, cut them out with scissors and glued them in place.  I adhered a strip of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave ribbon and popped up the die cut stacked 'Bright' on Dimensionals.

Here's the inside of the card.

Here's the envelope with a stamped element cut out with circle punches on the flap.

I couldn't resist making another card using a different colour scheme!  Here it is in red and green.

Square Deck the Halls Holly Card

I thought I'd make a square card for a change.  A very simple layout but lovely embellishments add a festive touch.  Here's the card and envelope together.

The Crumb Cake card base measures 5 1/4" square and I added a panel of patterned paper from the SU! 'Brightly Gleaming' specialty DSP pack.  I stamped the holly in Old Olive ink and used Stampin' Blends markers to colour in the images.  A 2" circle punch was used for the sentiment and I offset the white circle against an Old Olive 2" circle.  I taped down the ribbon and popped up the circle.  The finishing touch for the front was the addition of three star embellishments.

Here's the inside of the card.

Here's the envelope.  Covering envelope flaps with patterned paper means I'm using more paper, not hoarding it!

Supplies:
Stamps: SU! 'Christmas Gleaming' & 'Perfectly Plaid' sets
CS: SU! Crumb Cake, Old Olive & Basic White
Patterned paper: SU! 'Brightly Gleaming' specialty DSP
Ink: SU! Real Red ink pad, SU! Old Olive & Real Red Stampin' Blends markers
Tools: SU! '2" circle punch
Embellishments & Accessories: SU! Real Red woven satin ribbon, 'Star Designer Elements' Dimensionals
