Merry Christmas Flowers Card

This was the second card we made at Joanne's Stampin' Up! October Make & Take evening. Joanne knows I can sometimes get stressed and frustrated when doing floral punch craft so she offered to make my flowers for me - and I took her up on that generous offer! What a sweetheart she is - and she comes up with fabulous cards for us to make!

The card is a standard A6 size made in SU! Real Red CS. We stamped foliage and leaf images from the Autumn Days stamp set on the white square and then arranged the flowers over the top. Real Red ink was sponged around the square. We used the new SU! Eyelet Border punch on the bottom of the olive CS - hmmm, I think that punch might have to go on my wish list!

Before we tied the elastic cord around the wide ribbon, we placed a strip of adhesive on the back and pleated the ribbon, this held the ribbon in place enough for us to tie on the cord. It made sure we got a nice neat gathered look on the ribbon.

Supplies:
Stamps: SU! Autumn Days set, sentiment from Season of Joy set
CS: SU! Whisper White, Real Red & Old Olive
Ink: SU! Real Red & Old Olive
Tools: SU! Scallop Circle punch, SU! Boho Blossoms punch, DEET tool, embossing tool & moulding mat (for the flower shaping), SU! Eyelet Border punch, tiny circle punch
Embellishments & accessories: SU! 1 1/4" Old Olive Striped Grosgrain ribbon, SU! silver elastic cord
