Then I decorated the inside of the card.
For the second one I decided to make a shaped card using the Sizzix Baroque die. I cut two Old Olive shapes and another in the patterned paper. I scored a line on the back Olive piece and glued that to the front to make the card base. After gluing on the paper I cut a tad off at the bottom so the card stands up.
I die cut an oval, stamped the pine bough and edged the oval with cherry ink. I added a ribbon strip and bow and I've popped the bauble up. I stamped the sentiment, cut it out with a Labels Trio die, edged it with olive ink and glued it to the oval. I then popped the oval shape up with 3d foam tape. To finish the card front, I added two olive crystals to the sentiment. I punched a tree from the paper with a 1" circle punch and glued that to a punched bauble to decorate the envelope flap.
Then, of course, I had to decorate the inside. I stamped the pine bough in olive ink, punched the bauble shape, stamped the dotty background in cherry ink and added some gold cord as a bauble hanger. I then stamped, punched and edged the sentiment oval, glued it to the bauble and I then popped the bauble up.
This card will be sent to Naomi who went away to university a couple of months ago. Even though I''ll include her on the family Christmas card I thought it would be nice to send a card to her university room too.
