Pinterest is such a mine of ideas, I love it! It's great when I find a fab card or idea and have those supplies in my stash. Of course, Pinterest browsing has led to a few new purchases, last week a card meant a new Cheery Lynn die came to live with me! The SU! Medallion stamp is a firm favourite of mine and I'm always happy to find great examples using it. I really loved the design of this card when I came across it but definitely NOT the colour combo. I know it's popular and trendy but I'm yet to feel the love for the combo of grey and yellow, I'm afraid it's really yucky as far as I'm concerned. Each to his own though, it really wouldn't be half as much fun or as interesting if we all liked the same things! So I turned to a fave, tried and tested combo of Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla.
When I CASE a card I often like to put my own spin on things. When I first saw the card I thought I'd use the circle stamp from the Everything Eleanor set instead of the smaller circle from the old Vintage Frames set. I did try that but in the end I preferred the look of the smaller circle for this particular card. Kari's card is a beautiful minimalist CAS design but I decided to add layers to my square CASEd version. I think the addition of a butterfly is never a bad thing either! The card measures 5 3/4" square and the Old Olive strip is popped up.
Here's the inside and the envelope. The Everything Eleanor set got a look in by way of that fabulous swirl! The Vintage Frames scalloped circle on the envelope flap got a sweet stamped butterfly from the Precious Butterflies hostess set.
