Five Christmas Cards Using One Layout

I made these five Christmas cards to give to the ladies who come to Joanne's SU! Stamper's Ten Make and Take evenings.  I used the same layout for each card but I used different colour schemes and SU! stamp sets - plus the bird punch.  I really like how different they look even though the layout is the same.

Each card was made using the largest Labels Eight Nestability die.  I die cut two shapes for each card and scored a line on the back shape and glued it to the front shape.  Each card has a chunky glittered snowflake on the front.  I punched the snowflakes, applied Ranger Matte Accents  and then sprinkled on Diamond Dust glass glitter.  You get nice frosty flakes that way!

Card one uses Dasher, the striped background stamp and the sentiment is from the Contempo Christmas set.  The colour combo is Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake - with a touch of white.  Dasher is embossed with white embossing powder.  I spritzed the Chocolate panel with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint so it has a very subtle sparkle.

I decorated each envelope flap with a circle element and decorated the inside of each card in the same way  - using a Labels Eight shape for the sentiment, a strip of patterned paper and a punched snowflake.  I didn't take photos of each card inside, just card one.

Card two uses the Serene Snowflakes set and the sentiment is from Contempo Christmas.  The colour combo is Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Basic Black.  I finally used a piece of my Night and Day paper!  I stamped the largest image twice, once on Pretty in Pink CS and again on Melon Mambo.  I cut the melon shape out, sprinkled on some glitter, popped it up and added a large pink gem.  This card was deliberately made very pink because I made it for Wendy who, like me, loves pink!

Card three uses the Lovely As A Tree set and the sentiment is from the Season of Joy set.  The colour combo is Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White.  I couldn't resist using my non SU! Santa and reindeer stamp to fly across the moon!  The image actually has three reindeer but I used a piece of low tack masking tape to mask all but one.  I added glitter to the snow and the tree branches.

Card four uses the Contempo Christmas set and my oldie but goodie Hero Arts pine bough stamp.  The colour combo is Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Whisper White.  I pierced a hole in the white panel to poke the silver tinsel ribbon through and I added a bit to the bauble.  The bauble is popped up and I added glitter to the pine bough.

Card five uses the SU! bird punch and the sentiment is from the Season of Joy set.  The colour combo is Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.  I've sponged with Antique Linen distress ink.  The gorgeous patterned paper is old Basic Grey - Figgy Pudding or Fruitcake - and I'm down to my last piece, eek!  I love the warm, vintage feel this card has.

I really enjoyed challenging myself to make several cards with one layout but with different colours and supplies.  I've not done anything like it before but I think I'll do it again!
