Mixed Bunch Birthday Card - Simply Stampin' Challenge #61

It's time for another great sketch at Simply Stampin' this week.

For my card I've used the fab Mixed Bunch stamp set and the matching Blossom punch.  My good friend Jan has let me play with her stamp set and punch as I haven't got my own - yet!

I pushed myself to use a colour I haven't used a great deal - Pacific Point - and I teamed it with Baja Breeze, Melon Mambo, a touch of Lucky Limeade and added Whisper White as my neutral.  I made a side opening A6 size card - I much prefer landscape oriented cards to have the fold at the side as I find they stand up better than when the fold is at the top.  I stamped several flowers direct to the white panel but then I stamped and punched one separately so I could pop it up.  When stamping the flowers I inked with Pacific Point ink, stamped off once and then applied Pacific Point ink around the edges with a sponge dauber.  I also stamped one flower in Lucky Limeade and cut out 3 petals to act as leaves.  I used a favourite birthday sentiment plus a favourite border punch and I popped up the Melon Mambo layer.  I added some bling to finish off the card front.

More stamping and punching for the inside and envelope.  So that's what I made, now it's your turn.  Go and make a project and share it with us at the Simply Stampin' blog - we'd love to see what you come up with!  No worries if you don't have a blog as email entries are very welcome too!

LOVE the amazing bold colors--and using the stamps and punch for leaves is amazing! TOTALLY gonna do this now! ;) Also, I love all of your signatures! Do you make them yourself, or is there a site that generates them? So fabulous! :)

Beautiful card - love the bling down each side. Also, very clever using part of the flower petals as leaves.

Love how you've cut away part of the flower to make to leaves, very clever! Great colourful card!
